I have always been interested in fashion. The way clothing can highlight or hide the body. The possibilities of shapes and styles. I have always wanted to create a style that is adaptable to any body type. To be able to dramatize; allow or constrain movement in a garment. to make each wearer feel like a queen, with no responsibilities or worries. To allow the wearer to project their inner self at all times.

Studying fashion at Manchester Metropolitan University will allow me to begin my own company right out of university. the work based learning will give me first hand experience in the industry. As a Nigerian I like to incorporate drama and colors in my creations. In my work I am constantly evolving to achieve this. After viewing example of former MMU students work I feel that I can achieve my goal of going on to start my own business in Nigeria.

I moved the Netherlands when I was 10, so I feel I have two nationalities. The calmness of the Dutch fashion in comparison to the vivacity of Nigerian fashion is large. To be able to combine the two cultures, I believe will be creating a new market for the rapidly expanding Nigerian market. Learning the history and context of fashion at MMU will surely help me achieve my goal.

The eleven pieces posted below show a small selection of my range. The majority of the pieces below will be on display on the 5th of June 2010 at Rijnlands lyceum Oegsgeest.
